Hello and come on in! We are your friendly neighborhood bookstore, stocking new & pre-read books, as well as toys, gifts, magazines, greeting cards, audio titles, and much more! We welcome special orders and we will happily take want lists. Annie's Book Stop of Worcester is located in Worcester, Massachusetts, the second largest city in New England, which is an hour from Boston, Providence, and Hartford; an hour and a half from Concord, NH and Kittery, ME; and three hours from New York City. We are home to sixteen colleges and universities, with whom we partner for sharing calendar events and using space for larger events. We also work with the various public school systems in Worcester County to share calendar events and bring authors to classrooms. We are the only independent full service bookstore in Worcester. Our store, itself, holds 30 people seated and 40+ standing and queued. However, through our school and business partnerships, we have access to auditoriums and larger workshop spaces when needed. We send press releases to all local papers, online calendars, and several local clubs and organizations, such as NESFA and Rainbow Readers of Massachusetts; we also post with the local chapters of SCBWI, HWA, and Broad Universe, as well as local professional writing and fan groups like New England Science Fiction Association, New England Horror Writers, and Worcester Writers Collaborative.

Annie's Book Stop is a very quaint and hospitable shop. It's a small shop that utilizes every inch to provide as many books as possible. Surprised on the very good selection of newly released books. I found a couple of good reads. The used books area can feel a bit cramped and unfortunately put a book or two back since the price was a little high for a used book.

I needed a random text book published 8 years ago, and I couldn't get it anywhere online in less than 2 weeks. Of course they had a copy here, why go anywhere else!

The ideal bookstore. They had all kinds of second hand books and many latest ones as well. It's like a nostalgic trip back to the 90s bookstores, the walls are covered in books from top to bottom. It's a book lover's dream come true. Must visit! Will be going back again for sure.

This is an adventure of a store! For anyone who loves being surrounded by books, you will feel right at home. The store is small but creatively laid out to fit as many books as possible. And there are many, many books. There is a nice mix of some new but mostly used books of all genres. I love cozy mysteries and was not disappointed with the selection. That said, the children's picture book selection was messy and kind of sad. There are books everywhere, and it can be difficult to see the titles without extensive searching and rummaging. If there is a flat surface, there will be books (including stacked on the floor). It can feel overwhelming and difficult to differentiate the sections since the headers are very small. The pricing system requires a literal key to figure out. I almost wish they had something like a laminated sheet offered at the door. I found it below the thermostat in the second room and took a picture on my phone so I wouldn't have to go back and forth. Some books are better deals than others but they all are much reduced from the original price. Overall, I really enjoyed visiting. I managed to find some harder to find titles. The staff was friendly. Exploring led to some nice discoveries. I would visit again if I was in the area and recommend stopping here if you have some time. It is always great to find an independent bookstore with personality!

One of the best second hand book stores I’ve been too! Worth a stop for any reader
