Aunt EEk's is a shop of Books & Curiosities located on Historic Route 66 in Amarillo, Texas. Open 11am-6pm Tuesday- Saturday and 1-4 on Sunday. Our Dear Aunt scares up curiosities and interesting used books from the depths and shares them in a comfortable atmosphere where anyone is welcome and opinions are shared, sometimes with gusto. She is a community-minded creature and chooses a local non-profit each quarter to share her good-fortune and the generous "round-up" change of her customers. Children's literacy is of the utmost importance and each young person under 15 years of age receives a free book from our young readers section each time they enter the store, no purchase necessary. Events held in-store include story-time for children on Saturdays and for adults on the first Thursday of each month (Beginning in March). Aunt EEk's is also available after-hours to book clubs, community groups etc, as a meeting place.

Aunt EEK’s is an absolute standout. Killer book selection, wildly fun and unexpected finds, and a staff that’s genuinely awesome. The vibe is eclectic, cool, and full of personality—the kind of place that reminds you why independent shops matter. Do yourself a favor and go. Highly recommend.

I'm in love! We got a dark spooky welcoming bookstore mixed with horror and witchcraft. It's my now favorite store! If you need smudging tools and cute decorations, books anything they have it. My kid also liked the fact that she was able to get a book for free (age 15 and younger) thank you for being an amazing place cant wait to go back

I love this place, they clean their clothes before selling which is a great practice. Just a fair warning, and not sure if the owners know because SHEIN tends to hide their labels in weird spots. Some of the thrifted clothes can come from SHEIN, but the pricing is still good. For sure a good place to visit, as the entire staff is super friendly and amazing, and the collection of trinkets, oddities, and books is immaculate!

Have always found just what I needed, whether I went in for it specifically or not! Books and curiosities galore, I love their card selection, stickers, pens, you name it. They’re always friendly and kind, and really add so much to sixth street ✨🖤 grateful for Aunt Eeks being part of the community!

This store is an oasis of color in a beige landscape. Books, antiques, curiosities, local artist, local zines and the owner is a regional treasure. If you are on Route 66/ 6th Street please stop. Really fair prices and a great selection of books and treasures. There is a little vintage clothing bender in the back as well. Very welcoming and inclusive.
