Bought a few books but spent a while sitting reading before I paid and no one hassled me (thank you!) It's so nice to have a comfy place where I can read a little bit before paying. They have good people recommending books here, I know this because I saw multiple John Langan books on display with the rec shelf. So I'd trust their book judgment. They had Fledgling by Octavia Butler in stock which RULES because it's such a good book but it's so hard to find because some booksellers are cowards. I don't live in Ashland but every time I visit I stop here and get something.

This is a lovely locally-owned bookstore. All the new books, books on Oregon, coloring books, and lots lots more! Browse without being bothered. Ask a question. Chat it up. It's all good in Bloomsbury's. Check out the interactive children's section if you have your little ones with you. A cute shop with a respectable selection of books and particularly good staff recs! I picked up A Walk in The Woods by Bill Bryson and have been loving it so far. They also have local postcards and other gift items, and a cafe upstairs. Definitely worth stopping by.

The books seem to be new and expensive; not the place to go for used classics or other deals. Not as inviting as some other bookstores. There is a cute cafe upstairs but we didn't try it.
