Book Bar (PA)

Our book club had way too much fun here. Great selection of new books as well as some older titles. Love the used section and special edition section. I had an elderflower mocktail that was so good. We will be back!

Story Time: I am a librarian for a local library, and we have been looking for the "Game Changers" series everywhere. Due to the popular demand created by "Heated Rivalry" on HBO, we could not find copies of the books anywhere. BUT THEN a library staff member noticed a post by the Book Bar sharing that they had copies back in stock! In a bit of a manic frenzy, I grabbed our tax-exempt paperwork, snatched my car keys, and flew from across the county to snag the series (adhering to 422 speed limits, of course). The owner and staff of this super stellar shop could not be more accommodating, kind, and helpful. They came in clutch, not only for our library, but the other locations in our county. And although I didn't get any of their drinks (it was close to closing time... I was THAT person), the smell was intoxicating and vibes were immaculate. I cannot wait to come back and enjoy an afternoon in this absolutely lovely shop. 100/10. 5 million stars. I cannot rate them high enough. Support this fabulous small business as soon as you get the chance!

What a warm and welcoming place! I visit as often as possible! I’ve enjoyed every event I’ve been to (book clubs, book launches, holiday events) and I’m always looking for what new and exciting opportunities there might be to connect! Great books, delicious coffee (especially their signature Book Bar blend with hints of chocolate and strawberry 🤤), and kind staff! Would recommend again and again! It’s a great place to find both some quiet time in a cozy corner or good conversation, depending on what you’re looking for. If you’re passing through, it’s a must see on your journey!

It was a lovely time. I was there to participate in the midnight release of Brimstone, so fun. The trinkets, books, just overall everything was a so great. I took home with me a mystery book, along with the freebies they'd given. I got to meet such wonderful book friends.
