Five stars. I absolutely loved this book store. The entire first section of their store is dedicated to children’s books very clearly organized by age range with really great labeling. The second part of their store was dedicated to adult books. Each bookshelf was extremely easy to navigate considering that each section was once again very clearly labeled (fiction, romance, historical fiction, etc.) I love the mix of used and new books- i got 4 used books and 1 new. Each used books was between 7-9 dollars making it accessible to purchase more recently published in works. Additionally, i really loved that they had a dedicated shelf to Chicago related books and also one to the classics. Great little south side gem.

I love Bookies! The staff is friendly and efficient. Hannah will help you find anything. If it's not in store, they can order the item your looking for, and within 5 days it's ready to pick-up.

The workers are very helpful and kind. Great section of children and adult books. New and used are mix up with each other. Call ahead when you are going to drop off books since it seems they are way behind. They have a small section of comic, graphic novel, and manga. Likely have the bestselling or trending book. Would love to come again. ❤ 📚

Great local bookstore with a good selection of all the genres. It's open and bright as well, not packed in tight like many small shops. There's a mix of new and used books with plenty of deals to be had. The staff is friendly and helpful too.

Street parking or alley parking. They have a great collection of books for all ages, and have everything separated out by age/grade for kids so its easy to find something age appropriate for your child. If they dont have a book, they'll order for you as long as you're not in a rush. They make sure to get the hot titles and the more niche stuff. The owner is a very nice man who does a lot of community events. Support them!
