Books Inc. Mountain View

A Fantastic Bookstore I absolutely love this bookstore. The practical side of me is overjoyed that it's close enough I can walk to it, but the book lover in me enjoys the multitude of books to peruse on hand. The staff are all friendly and pretty knowledgeable. I've ordered books for pick up here, too, because visiting the store is one of my secret guilty pleasures. My last online order, which I picked up, was the first two books in the Empyrean series, as I'd already purchased Onyx Storm prior (it's the Dragon & Claw editions). Since then, I've dropped in and purchased other Sci-fi, Fantasy, or non-fiction books that aren't technically in a series but did catch my attention. They're currently in the process of revamping their website, I think, but that just means more reason for me to just walk down and browse. The store itself is beautiful and elegant looking, and the selection of books is wide and varied. There are shelves that visibly display the employees' picks and recommendations, which can give one a new, latest read to consider. It's another home away from home. :)

Extremely poor selection, about 4 books per shelf. All the books are facing forward to take up space. Is the store going out of business, or do they just not care to keep a decent stock of each subject??

What a lovely bookstore with a wide selection of books, for a wide range of audience from baby-toddler to adults. We stumbled upon this one after our brunch at Crepevine across the road. The store’s atmosphere was amazing. It was so chilling and relaxing, with some background music. There’s many sections organized neatly side by side, with some little notes on staff’s recommendation. My baby enjoyed some toddler’s books, but he quickly got his attention on some jigsaw puzzles for 3 years old. We ended up buying 2.

What a delightful book store! It's so much bigger than you'd expect from the outside and chock full of great titles. Spotted brand new releases and great classic titles. Loved the staff recommendations table. So many options and they all looked fabulous! Friendly, welcoming staff made our visit a dream. Nestled among other shops and restaurants, this should be on your must-do list when in Mountain View.
