Awesome bookstore. I could have spent all day here. So many interesting titles. This store is also a non-profit that helps fund housing and other support for writers seeking asylum in the US. They have a huge selection of all kinds of books, but a major focus is translated literature and their collection is extensive. Staff is kind and engaging. Highly recommend this spot.

My favorite indie in the 'burgh. This non-profit bookstore specializes in translated lit. Oh, and they also work tirelessly to relocate and give asylum to authors/poets threatened by the tyrannical regimes they write and speak out against in their native countries. If you're looking for diverse, mindfully curated shelves, this is your spot. The young adult and children's sections might seem small, but they're fantastic. I *always* find a book for my bookworm niece and nephew that they haven't already read. I love this shop, I love what it stands for, and I thank the COA staff and volunteers for the great work you're doing in Pittsburgh! This place makes me proud of our city.

Great new addition to a burgeoning neighborhood. This establishment brings an intimate cocktail venue with a limited menu and a live music space to a mixed use space. From the bookstore to the piano on the stage to the 40 North lounge there is something for all walks here depending on the time of day you visit. Came in for dinner and left very satisfied by the staff and offerings.

This place is easily one of the most amazing and informative destinations you’ll ever visit. The ambiance is outstanding, and the availability of incredible works from various perspectives makes it a truly worthy and meaningful destination.

A really wonderful bookstore. I couldn't spend money on books at that time, but I got a nice sketchbook cover for my homemade notebooks and a cute screen printed card to mail to my mom. Their selection was incredible, everything you could ever imagine and a section in the back of eclectic used books for low prices which tempted me, but I realized I didn't have much time to read either ☺️ Still wanted to give them my business though, so spent the cost of a new book on something that was useful to me at the time and the woman at the counter was so kind even though I came in ten minutes before close.
