This is a great place to find books, gifts and lots of other fun items. They have readings, crystals and great tea. Service is top notch. I highly recommend this location. The owner is so nice, helpful and knowledgeable. The ambiance is superb. Parking is street parking only. They have sales in books which they have outside upon entrance.

I stopped by The East West bookstore yesterday 11/13/25, which has moved from Roosevelt to Main Street in Edmonds. They had a display of hand made Tibetan singing bowls and a helpful fun clerk manning the store. I spent a lovely hour playing with the sounds and choosing the one that resonated for me. I'm so glad I didn't buy one on-line, as besides the note they sound, they're each very different. Some have a very pure sound that sings out with the striker, but don't work to do the "edge of the wine glass" sound. And some have a very slight warble off pich sound. They're very individual! I used my birthday money to purchase a hand beaten brass bowl that sounds a clear resonant D note. Its edge plays long and gives that lovely tone that vibrates down into my solar plexus. Nice! I have wanted one for more than 40 years, but considered it a frivolous purchase. Which it is, but I am still happy that I bought it. It's not huge, perhaps 5-6 inches in diameter, but it has a big lovely sound. I also bought a book about using it for healing (sort of woo woo) and a silk brocade donut to place it on. The store clerk gave me a free bookmark featuring the "Be the change" quote attributed to Ghandi and a polished green and white beach rock. I like stores like this!

Great selection. Got exactly what I needed (ocean-themed journal to document my beach adventures) and looked around for a while at all the cool stuff. $15

10/10 I highly recommend this store. I’ve been by twice. The staff each time had great calming energy. The wide range of book selection and tarot/oracle as well as other little things is amazing. The first time I went I got several children’s books. One was in a shelf highlighting local authors and I love that. Supporting local is the way to do it. Plus being able to teach certain topics at an appropriate age level is a wonderful thing. Parking can be a bit tricky since it is downtown Edmonds. The last time I went there was some kind of street market a couple blocks away so that didn’t help much. But if you’re patient and willing to walk some you can find a spot.

My grandma and I arrived a tiny bit early and not only did let us in, but they helped us find a missing QR code for the gift certificate I got for Xmas. Wonderful staff, would recommend
