Half Price Books Columbus

I had a huge amount of items to sell. I’m disabled and couldn’t carry the stuff inside. The staff were amazing! They unloaded my items, worked quickly and efficiently to get through my items. Every single staff person I met was friendly and helpful. Staff even came out and assisted me with loading my wheelchair!!!! The were awesome!

In a time when basic human respect for one another is elusive, there is Half Price Books. Enter a warm, inviting and peaceful place with stewards who truly love sharing a fairly priced gift of books. I always enjoy bookstores, but this one probably shouldn't call itself Half Price Books. Maybe call it Three-Quarters Price Books? Books with a $20 original tag were about $15 on average. One book my wife was interested in was $35 normally, but they had it for $24. Amazon had the exact same edition for $12. Any 'discount' store that you can undercut by pulling out your phone and going to the biggest shopping website in the world isn't much of a discount store. A solid quarter of the store was movies, records, video games, board games, card games, etc. They seemed to have a decent selection, but don't go in expecting any real 'deals'. Think of it more like the media section at a yard sale where the owner has a very high opinion of everything they own, and you can't talk them down on that dog-eared copy of The Green Mile they swear is still worth $15.

Love this place! Only wish they gave you more for your used books and records!
