I stopped in a couple of years ago. I grew up in Rome and was stoked to see, the town finally got a bookshop! I recently moved back and was kind of bummed to find it closed. But according to their site, the shop will reopen in the fall-perfect cozy, book reading season! I guess my TBR will need to hold out til then and the library will become my main source of books if not. This shop is community and arts based and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere and even offers texts Barnes & Noble doesn't. I can't wait for the shop to reopen and I can rebuild my TBR!

What is not to love about this bookstore. The owner is super knowledgeable and very friendly. Carl (the cat) is an absolute delight as well. I love going there!

One of my favorite local shops! Keaton and Lloyd isn't just a bookstore, it's a community hub! The selection of books is great and covers all age ranges and interests. I often have books special ordered in when I'm looking for something specific and they always arrive quickly! The staff are always kind and run amazing programs at the shop! The resident cat always brings a smile to my face too!

Although I do not subscribe to ideology(ies) that seems to be put forth by this business, I went in because I saw the cats in the window and I happen to love books and have never been in this particular book store before and because there is also a consignment shop in the back of the store which I was interested in visiting. There were lots of interesting, artsy and bookish things to explore, things that made me laugh out loud, like coasters with sayings on them and "Lady MacBeth's Out Damned Spot" soaps. There are friendly staff and my absolute favorite thing about the store were the two VERY friendly cats, Carl and Hoagie who I got to pet and give treats to, ( they have a bubble gum machine that dispenses cat treats! Exploring this book store made me lose track of time, which can be a good thing or not depending on if you are in a hurry. Go when you have time to explore.
