What a delightful little store! Well organized. Very pleasant atmosphere. A nice collection of books. Highly recommend!

My friends and I swung by to check this place out! My boyfriend was interested in a car magnet, & my friend was interested in purchasing one of their $35 flower print tote bags. We left empty handed due to an older wrinkly blonde curly haired employee because of her attitude. We first walked in with nobody in the building for about 5 minutes, & we were not greeted when she finally came inside to do her job. Instead, she just stated “we close at 6pm” & stood at the register just to specifically stare at the only brown customer in the room. She didn’t ask if we had any questions or asked what genre of books we like to further help us browse. She was very disrespectful & we left disappointed. What a shame.

One of our favorite bookstores, we stop by every time we are in Laguna. The books are well curated, the people who work here are very nice and kind. Highly recommend it!

I am such a FAN! I’m a local, home for a visit from Northern California. I had finished the book that I had brought, and was in dire need of a good mystery read. I came to LBBS and inquired…they sent me to the area for my specific interest. I couldn’t land on something and so I chose a book that I was lukewarm about. When I got to the cash register, the owner was able to answer my questions about the chosen read…BUT the other person at the cash register had a recommendation! The Thursday Murder Club. Well, I couldn’t put it down and I’ve already ordered the next book by this author Here is my takeaway. These ladies were conversant in everything that I picked up, there were hand written critiques from various staff members next to all the books that they had read. They were well stocked, friendly and exactly what I think that a bookstore should be! Thanks LBBS! You guys ROCK! ❤️
