Maison Brooklyn

About two years ago, I toured Maison May while searching for a wedding venue. Although it was too small for my wedding, I remembered the owner raving about the food, so I was excited when it appeared on DoorDash. Since then, my husband and I have ordered regularly and look forward to our weekly salads—they’ve completely ruined chain-restaurant salads for us. Love this spot & the lovely owners!

Maison May is a gem. Each of salads I’ve tried are beautifully balanced with seasonal veggies and fresh dressing. My favs are the Steak salad and the Curry, Rice, and Chicken blend. The service is great too, from friendly cooks popping out of the kitchen to tell you how long it’ll take to the amazing counter staff. Thanks to Valentino for the hospitality on my most recent visit!

What an incredible discovery to have found Maison May for our wedding! My husband and I were looking for something homey and still intimate feeling with 75 people and this space was the perfect fit. Catherine and Claudia from the beginning were open and honest and clearly interested in our personal vision and the best way to manifest that at their venue. Our guests all felt tapped into the energy cultivated by the space and we all had such a memorable experience. THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE! If food is your priority, then this venue NEEDS to be considered! So delicious! Pre-event planning was thorough and smooth and the staff on sight that day were beyond accommodating. If you're looking for something with an old Brooklyn vibe and contemporary twist that is warm and inviting and generates a natural atmosphere of love and togetherness then this is definitely the venue for you. Maison May is the perfect venue. We wanted an intimate house-party feeling for our wedding, with a space that limited the guest list, and we didn't want to plan much. When we met Catherine, she told us we'd have 5 more choices to make if we booked with Maison May: our outfits, the flowers, the music, the rings, and our desserts. We wouldn't have to rent forks or plan seating arrangements. They have dedicated staff already hired, a chef who cooks some of the best food in NYC, and clear guidelines for exactly what to expect with every choice we did need to make. For a bride with a high intensity job who couldn't dedicate 100% of my time to planning every detail: I felt like everything was perfect. What mattered mattered, and what didn't was handled for us. I cannot thank Maison May enough for making our wedding day feel so special.
