An incredible store, if you are looking for a mystery book check here. I even saw an author that I had searched for and finally had to order online and they came from UK, there they were on the shelf. Great set up, british together, Scottish together, local authors. I was just browsing but bought a couple of books, trying to expand the authors I read

Once Upon A Crime is the place to go for mystery novels (including a large selection of anthologies) in Minneapolis Uptown. They also dedicate a good portion of their floor space to local authors. In addition to all that they have a selection of antiques, rare copies, and first editions.

Super cool experience! What cought my eye at first was the name and location! Honestly, book stores never really cought my eye when just walking by, but I decided to check it out! I was hoping to find a new Tarot book, or deck anyway. Turns out she didn't have anything, but they sent her a Oracle card deck by mistake. Which I didn't have one, that I used anyways. And she just said " Here, it's yours!" That totally made my day!!👏🏼 also helps me believe in my intuition and my own magic. Which is funny on account the Oracle deck is called "believing in your own magic" Thank you, again!

While the outside is an understatement, the inside is a crime fiction lovers paradise. It’s well organized and packed with jewels from both local and far flung authors. I picked up three great new reads, all new authors to me, and all three books also happened to be signed copies. Intelligent staff, as well!
