I love Pioneer Book. The smells and friendly staff make it a peaceful and friendly place to read and find new books. The prices are more than fair and they consistently run promotions and BOGOs if you make an account with them! They have a masterfully curated and diverse selection of religious texts as well as fiction and other topics to interest any reader. This is truly a gem of the Provo community! 🫶

I have been purchasing books here for a few years and it is delightful. People can trade books for credit, so the selection is always refreshing. The staff are always kind, helpful, and professional. And it always feels nice to support a local business 😊

My absolute favorite bookstore in town!! I've found so many lovely treasures for some of my niche interests (translated Chinese theatre scripts) at great prices. I also love grabbing a kolache from Hruska's on a Saturday and getting a discount on a book!!! Love to see small businesses supporting each other.

Here are three books I found at pioneer book in their fantasy/sci-fi section. I love coming to the store because it literally a treasure trove of books you never know what you will find. You can sell the store your old books for in store credit. Most exciting of all is their reading challenge if you read 40 books one from each category you can then get a $50 gift certificate to spend on anything you want in the store. I'm on my 6th or 7th year of working on the challenge and I have always comwted it.

One of the nicest used bookstores I've ever visited. Totally atmosphere, fantastic music mix, comfy chairs. There's plenty of space so that can actually find books, rather than everything crammed together. Great selection for all ages and genres.
