Visiting from LA, California. This bookstore is amazing. From local authors to popular works, the collection is well-curated for adults and kids too. The decor is very beautiful too and the staff are all very warm, welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. There's also a very cute tabby cat, Indie, that adds to the ambiance. 10/10 would visit McCall again for this bookstore.

Stopped in here on a visit to McCall from Boise. Loved it! I love the cat, the shopkeepers were friendly, singing, and giving their personal recommendations. Very helpful!! My friend and I sat and read books for a while and left with lots of books very happy! Can’t say enough good.

This bookstore was so welcoming and charming! I was wondering how on earth they couldn’t have 5 stars, turns out their bad reviews are from bigots being mad at the inclusive book selection or people who didn’t like they needed to wear masks during covid times - so completely unfounded and ridiculous complaints. We are from Boise and wanted to kill some time before a dinner reservation, they allowed us to read the books we were interested to see if we wanted to buy them and were helpful with book recommendations. I thought they had a great selection (I would love a bigger cookbook section though!) and their cat is adorable. I personally LOVE that they are inclusive and pro-lgbt+, thank you!
