A neat used bookstore that deals specifically in paperback (with exception of the children’s/young adult books, art books and cookbooks that come in hardcover). You get store credit for your used books that you can use towards a 25% discount on the books in store. It shares the parking lot with Kokoro so the parking lot is small but it’s worth the visit to see the variety. 🙂

This small, friendly store is tucked between Dairy Queen and Kokoro’s. It is actually one of the oldest bookstores in our metro area, opening at this location way back in 1977. The Book Rack offers a good selection of paperbacks at a reasonable price. There are some nice books for children, too. It's a great place for browsing! The world of books is changing, after all, and paperback books are not as plentiful as they once were. At the Book Rack, you may discover many treasures - or to be more specific, many paperback books containing out-of-print texts that are otherwise hard to find. There's a buy-back and credit system available for customers, which seems nice, although I don't frequent the store enough to make it practical. I have often thought the store catered more to female customers than, well, to "guys like me" - but honestly, the last time I was there, the other three customers who came in to browse were, yes, guys like me. The lesson, I suppose, is that we should all be careful when we try to characterize a book store! Even a small shop like the Book Rack is not so easy to pin down.

Well-organized and well-stocked used book shop. Loved that the children’s books were buy one get one free. The shopkeeper was helpful and knowledgeable. Everything you’d want in a cozy local bookstore!

Love this place! The owner is a sweetheart & is also knowledgeable about her books! This is a fun place to just browse or really find those paperbacks you’ve been looking for and can’t seem to find! Pricing is great/reasonable as well. Highly recommend this comfy little nook, thank you for existing!
