WordsWorth Books (AR)

Wordsworth is first-rate, and we're lucky to have a locally owned bookstore of its caliber in our area. I gave up on Wordsworth under its previous ownership, which was consistently rude and even hostile to me, and began buying books from Barnes and Noble and, in the past but not now, from Amazon. But after I did a book signing at Wordsworth a few years back and met its new owner, I've returned to doing business there and am glad I did. I recently ordered some books the store didn't have in stock which I wanted to give as Christmas gifts, and they got them to me in no time flat. Today, when I asked about cookbooks for children, the staff person who helped me turned loose of what she was doing, though the store was busy with Christmas shoppers, led me to a selection of cookbooks for children, and explained to me the advantages of each one. I couldn't have been happier with her service, her kindness, and her helpfulness — as I was, too, with the store owner, who checked me out and engaged me in a friendly conversation. How small local businesses treat customers makes a world of difference. Under its current ownership, Wordsworth does a great job of making customers feel valued and welcome, and that's why I'm now doing business with this good bookshop again.

This store is a favorite stop of ours during our weekend trips to Little Rock! It’s so cute, the staff is very sweet, and they have a fantastic selection! One of my favorite purchases here was a signed copy of a Riley Sager novel! Highly recommend!

A rare independently owned bookstore - buy local and keep this gem alive! Great website and online ordering is easy. If they dont have it in stock, they can get it fast. They'll even wrap the ones that are gifts at no extra charge.
