Amy's Bookcase is a brick and mortar paperback book exchange in Farmington, NM. We currently house over 100,000 books. We do carry some new books, and process special orders, but the majority of our business is used books. We been family owned since 1980, but the store was originally opened in about 1968.

This wonderful bookstore has been in business for over 40 years and this is my first visit! I'd say the biggest draw that brings most people to this place are the prices. Equally impressive is the huge inventory and variety of paperback reading material you can find in the store. They also have an exchange program. Just recently, the store has started dealing in a few new books. Be careful it's very easy to walk out of this place with a lot more reading material than you plan to go home with!

Just off a busy road in Farmington, NM, sits a long, nondescript faded yellow building. The only clue to the magic inside are the words, "Amy's Bookstore." The door is solid, asking to be opened cautiously. When you do push it open, you enter a land of enchantment. Books line shelves in all directions, almost any type of book you could dream of reading. Most are used at reasonable prices. Couches and chairs are in convenient locations for you to sit and browse. When you do make your purchases, Amy or her assistant is happy to chat with you while she processes your payment. Do not miss this gem if you are in Farmington.

Good selection of books. People who like to read should go. My son David and my wife Arlene can easily enjoy looking and finding books of their interest and give credit for your books as well. Nice people. And a cat Mascot. 👍
