This is one of my favorite Chattahoochee parks but has extremely limited parking which fills up quickly on weekends. The trail follows the river for a while before you can choose to branch into other directions. Beautiful river views transition into rocky uphill slopes (but my two dogs made it up the rocks with no problem!). I look all the different flora and frequently see birds, deer, and other critters along the trail! If you want to go to the main overlook or bamboo forests, i would recommend starting at the Indian Trail trailhead instead of this one.

We love this place! Very dog friendly, great river access for the dog and great hiking trails! It’s always clean and everyone that visits is always so friendly. I will say parking can be tough, limited parking spaces, but worth it if you can get there early to get a spot or be there in the afternoon in the middle of the week.

Went for the fall foliage and today’s hike did not disappoint. It rained heavily last night so I expected the trails would be super wet, muddy and slick. NOT the case. Was damp in a few places but overall great. Did the whole loop from the parking lot (free parking with gov shut down SCORE!). 4.5 miles. I would call this hike lightly moderate. Tons of hikers out this morning, kids and dogs too. Check out my pics

Beautiful natural trails (no concrete) with beautiful natural scaenery including sights of the Chattahoochee. Stay on trail! It's easy to get off track at the start.

Great hike, that I found to be generally moderate, although a few areas could be considered moderate - streneous, due to the terrain and based on one's mobility. Clean trail...litter free but many downed trees along the path. I would definitely suggest wearing proper footwear as you may encounter tree trunks, tree roots, rocks, a few "stairs", small streams, and large puddles to cross or navigate, depending on which trails you take. During my hiking experience, I especially enjoyed the beautiful views, the tree canopies during a brief afternoon rain, the walk along the Chattahoochee, and the beautiful bamboo forest.
