Virginia Highland Books is snuggled in the center of beautiful, historic Virginia Highlands, located on the corner of Virginia and N. Highland Avenues. Virginia Highlands is a vibrant, walkable neighborhood with a friendly, small town feel situated in the heart of the thriving city of Atlanta. Virginia Highlands has a rich and interesting history as one of the first suburbs in Atlanta. Our store and the neighboring buildings on our block were constructed in 1900, and have housed many shops and businesses prior to becoming the home of VaHi Books in June 2021. Our two story location features exposed brick and old hardwoods, the perfect home for our collection of books of all varieties and genres, puzzles, games, journals, and unique gifts. Come browse our selection, sit in our sunny windowseat reading area to read for a bit, attend a book signing, join our book club or pop in for storytime every Tuesday morning at 10:30am.

This bookstore is whimsical! There are two levels with the non-fiction area being down the stairs and everything else being on the main level. There are so many great options and I love the fact that this bookstore sells cute book-lovers merchandise like socks and other little knicknacks! They also have art for sale and overall it's a lovely space to go and spend a Saturday exploring. 10/10 recommend!

Pretty good selection. I appreciated the diverse/inclusive authors and novels. Considering how busy they were on a Saturday afternoon, the staff truly made my experience memorable. They were AMAZING and so helpful. I will definitely be back!!

Such an incredible bookstore!! Their selection is fantastic, with well-organized shelves and tables for delightful browsing. This shop had such a great atmosphere, too - lots of customers were happily milling about and recommending books to each other and discussing past reads. I also loved the variety of staff picks highlighted throughout the store. The staff were also super helpful and friendly. Highly, highly recommend - I already can't wait to go back!

The books recommended by the staff are carefully chosen, curating a select few rather than attempting to cover every literary genre. There's even a corner dedicated to children's books, with a special emphasis on those penned by local authors. This store exudes an awareness of current trends with its collection of bestsellers, books adapted into movies, and banned books, especially relevant during Banned Books Week.
