We have visited this bookstore in Olde Town Arvada several times, hoping to warm to it, as the surrounding area offers a charming atmosphere and diverse selection of shops and eateries. Unfortunately, it has consistently fallen short of expectations. Upon entering, we have never been greeted by staff. Associates remain focused on their computers, offering neither a smile nor a simple hello, which sets an unwelcoming tone. More concerning is the complete lack of customer restroom facilities. When inquired about, the response feels condescending, as if one is being treated like a child. Instead, patrons are directed to nearby restaurants and cafes, where using the restroom often implies an obligation to make a purchase. In 2025, this seems particularly inconsiderate, especially for families with young children, elderly visitors, or those with medical needs who may require immediate access. While we appreciate the challenges small independent businesses face, greater attention to basic customer comfort and hospitality would go a long way. Unfortunately third time is not a charm. We will never be back.

This is what I expect in a bookstore: slightly crowded shelves but still well-organized books; a broad selection for such a small space; and reasonable prices for used books in decent-to-new condition. The staff does NOT rudely interrupt my peaceful and private time alone with my thoughts by offering canned greetings when I enter or a disruptive thanks if I depart without a purchase. I appreciate that! This is what many introverted book-lovers value! We don’t all want to enter a store and have our private time burdened by an obligation to reciprocate a perfunctory smile with a perfunctory smile and a forced interaction! I know that some smug, uppity twits will review this place poorly on that note, but those kinds of people lack the intelligence to know the pleasures of perusing shelves alone while already having a rich internal dialogue to engage with, and the books they read are the literary equivalent of the Real Housewives of Staten Island. This is a real reader’s bookstore!👍🏼

Really unique small bookstore. Staff was super friendly & they helped us find what we were after. Places like this are hard to find. A few books & puzzles later 🤣🤷 Give them a look!

I really like this book store. It’s a smaller guy but they do a lot with their space and it’s SUPER organized, which is the best part. Everything is categorized and in alphabetical order. It’s fun to browse and there’s both a selection of new, used, children, fiction, non fiction and the worker often greets customers as they walk in. It’s a charming bookstore for Olde Town and I like to stop in whenever I’m in the area. I’ll even go after I stop at the public library. They also have local Colorado books!

Wide variety of new and used books in many genres. I found authors here that I haven't found in other used book stores. There is also an online inventory available. Professional, helpful employee. I will be returning to fill in some holes in my collection.
