Brain Lair Books

My friend and I had each driven by this bookstore, thinking we must stop there sometime. Today was the day! What a wonderful, charming shop it is! The owner, Kathy, was so welcoming and helpful, selecting books that would be of interest after hearing what kind of stories my friend enjoyed. She ended up buying three books, and resolved to return soon again. I, too, shall return, if not for a book, then one of the beautiful jigsaw puzzles that they sell. I urge you to check it out. Kathy and her store are gems! My friend can’t stop talking about our time at Brain Lair!

Every time I stop in, I’m blown away by how thoughtfully curated and welcoming the space is. The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and always ready with the perfect recommendation! Their focus on diverse stories and community engagement makes it a place you just feel good supporting.

Amazing! Drove up from Indianapolis after supporting them online for years and it was everything I had hoped for. The owner was super nice and had the coolest earrings. I will definitely make the trek again.
