First time checking out the Book Rescuers and it was very impressive!!! They have a huge inventory of books…over 1 mile long of shelving from paperbacks to hard cover books at very affordable prices!!! There are multiple sections in the store from a nice seating area, to an area full of vinyl records, cassette tapes in the front area. There are movies and more in the VHS and DVD format as well!! Everything is organized nicely throughout the store and they have tons of subjects covered!! Definitely recommend checking this place out for reasonable pricing on everything!!! Great resources for teachers too!!!

This place is doing great work. It's a nice spot to hang and pick up great used stuff. Pro tip, bring a drink if you're hanging out, the cafe isn't built yet.

An absolute gem in Largo! I’ve fallen in love with The Book Rescuers on Ulmerton—what a delightful treasure trove! They offer a vast selection of books in multiple languages (English, Spanish, French, German and more). What stands out immediately is how meticulously well‑organized the store is—shelves are clearly labeled and divided by category, so finding what you need (or discovering something unexpected) feels effortless. Speaking of selection: they house three miles of shelving, with over 200,000 items—it's like a bibliophile’s paradise. Prices are incredibly reasonable, typically $1–$3 per book, meaning you can build your collection affordably. They limit your options when paying with things like cash app see pictures I uploaded. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and the store is full of little touches that make it extra special—like the giant stack of books display that’s not only fun to look at, but has also become a bit of a photo spot. (If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the picture—so cool!) They also support local educators through a special school program that helps teachers purchase affordable classroom books—such a meaningful initiative! And if that weren’t enough, they carry puzzles and board games, making it a fantastic stop not just for readers, but also for families looking for affordable fun and educational entertainment. Why I love The Book Rescuers: Multilingual book selection Massive inventory – with miles of shelving and an ever-changing selection Well‑labeled and organized – easy to browse and discover Super low prices – most books priced at $1–$3 Teacher support program – helping supply local schools affordably Puzzles & board games – adds extra family‑friendly appeal Inviting, positive vibe – you just feel good being there Epic book stack display – a must-see centerpiece! If you’re in Largo—or looking for a smart, affordable way to find books and games—this place is a must‑visit. Highly recommend!

One of the most charming places I've ever been! A book lover's heaven. Friendly and helpful staff, and a full mile of lovely lovely books. Cozy seating areas, pleasant music, activities for kids, clean bathrooms. I'd give it 10 stars if allowed. It's a 2-hr drive for me, but I'll be back!

I’m a local and come here at least once or twice a month. I’m not a big reader but their wealth of dvds, music, magazines, and even puzzles and board games means there’s something for everyone. Even those of us who have a little more trouble sitting down and reading. It’s a community hub, and great for if you just want to relax and soak up the chill atmosphere. Ive seen construction progressing on their new bar (?) area and I’m very excited to see it complete!! I really appreciate that they not only tolerate but encourage visitors to sit and spend time in their lounge area. I walk to and from my house to their store, so knowing I can rest and look over my purchases as long as I need is always very nice. And It turns the usual spontaneous Florida downpours from a stressful inconvenience, into an excuse to browse and relax. And it just makes for a more welcoming atmosphere instead of the usual “get in, buy your stuff, get out” feeling from a lot of places. My weekends aren’t complete without a Book Rescuers visit! It’s a good cause backed by good people at a good price. What else could you ask for?
