A very cute very little bookstore. The selection is relatively small — some shelves were empty — but they had all the bestsellers and plenty of other options. A good sized children’s section that made me nostalgic. Unassuming on the outside, but cozy on the inside with very friendly staff! I’m sure they will help you find any book you need, and I think a bookstore is essential in any small town.

My favorite book store in Maine! It has a great variety, and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful! I recently noticed they also host events there, and really enjoyed stopping in for their reading series! I'll be keeping my eye out for more events in the future!

Smitty's is a new essential for Downtown Waterville! Owner is so kind, helpful and takes requests for books to order. Bought a bunch of books yesterday for holiday presents and there was a great selection for kids 1-14!

Maddie is such an amazing owner and helpful book seller! You can feel the love she has the moment you enter! Highly recommend!

such an excellent little store! there’s a great variety of books for children, new and relevant nonfiction, local merch, and the latest/greatest novels!! would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area—guarantee you’ll find something to read, either from your TBR, or perfectly niche and up your alley!
