Just fun. I love browsing and picking up gently used and new books and games. The store is spacious. There are shopping carts available and the staff is always helpful.

The store is clean and quiet… there is an older smell… like an attic… I am sure it is all of the books. But there are hardly any people in the store. The people that we did meet were very kind and polite. No one asked us if they could help us. But that is OK because we were really just browsing anyway.

Very disappointed in this location. I did go on a Saturday to donate/sell 5 boxes of books. The two book sale employees were both rude to me and I felt like I was nothing but polite. When I asked if I could use the cart to get books out of my car I was told, "No, you can't because of liability! We have to do it for you." (perhaps a "Sorry, but it's our policy to help you with that"?) Then I waited TWO HOURS for my quote, hanging around the store. Do you think they could have warned me? Maybe said, "We are very busy today, we are happy to take your books but you might want to return tomorrow for the quote?" (nope, none of that, rather treat me like I am a burden to them) Then when I asked the male book buyer (manager?) if they return boxes I got, "Yes, of course we return your boxes if you want them. Why not? See, here are your boxes. Want them?" (rude tone). Yes, I have worked customer service and know it's stressful when it's busy but these people need to up their game, say please, thank-you, sorry, etc. In the end I got $14.50 for 5 boxes of pretty good books. I highly recommend that you do not take your books here. The public libraries and PTAs can use them and they are polite and grateful.

So in LOVE with this place! It's candy land of awesome things in every corner. Really nice people working there. And I got a good deal on selling my dvds. That is my place to be!

Richardson Half Price Books is a straight vibe at 3:39 pm on a Saturday. Great music playing and the price estimate for the books my family was selling only took about 20 minutes with one person ahead of us (We both had a lot of books). I read a very sophisticated novel for developed readers while I waited. (I don't remember the title but it was something close to "Diary of a Tender Adolescent" I believe). Nice relaxing place, they do a good job here
