Katy Budget Books

Books? I LOVE anywhere books cos I get to smell that book smell for ages, which is exactly what I experienced here even though they're MOSTLY used books. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant. There were staff being helpful to customers which included me when I needed direction to the kid's section. The staff were also very patient with explaining my questions and answering them. I love the chairs on the aisles where you can sit and go through a book without so much hurry. The books may be "used" but they are neat and well preserved books and if you are in Katy this week, there's currently a (I believe) 40 cents for select children's books ongoing. There are new books too which go for full prizes but the used are decently prized- $3-4, in the range I got. Some prices are half the price. I am crazy about books so come one, come all. So MANY GOOD BOOKS. And I saw many of my fave authors too. Beautiful.

Loved this place! Will definitely be back! It had a very, very wide selection of used books. It’s a little on the pricier side for used books (half off the retail price) but all of the books were in excellent condition, so not really complaining. I also liked that it had stickers/notebooks/socks etc, looks of “bookish” items to choose from. They also have a trade in for credit option which seems cool if you have old books you no longer want and would like to trade them in for store credit (no cash, only store credit). All in all loved it and I can’t wait to come back.

This is a beautifully organized book store. Visually stunning with a calm and wondrous atmosphere. Very nice and pleasant staff and best of all tons of reasonably priced books. A hidden gem in Katy.

Katy Budget Books. Spent a good time there looking for all sorts of genres. The people there are really friendly and helpful, and there is quite a selection. I'll be coming here more often with my wife for sure.
