I attended the fabric ornament-making workshop at Maxima Gift Center and absolutely loved it! We created beautiful handmade ornaments by pinning fabric onto foam balls, such a fun and relaxing process. Our instructor, Candace, was wonderful. She explained each step clearly and was right there to help whenever we got stuck. I left with one finished ornament and a full kit to make another at home. Highly recommended!

I went to the Maxima Hive's first event, a wine tasting... and it was simply an amazing experience! The sommelier told us about 4 very different wines as we savored each sip. The owners, Jelena and Brian, had delicious cheeses and crackers to accompany the wines. I was happy to learn about a Zinfandel that was markedly different (in a good way!) from any that I have had before this... and it was easily found at a local shop in Cambridge! I can't wait for the next tasting, but will be certainly looking towards the new offerings for classes and experiences. This is a great new addition to the Arlington community, coming from a longtime gem of a store that has now expanded!

This is a great little gift and book store! It has something for everyone, but it especially has great gifts for kids. The owners are very nice people, and they have a great staff. Their book selection is small, but they have an excellent array of cooking books for sale. I go in there regularly for their selection of greetings calls for all kinds of people and occasions. The prices are very reasonable, and they have a loyalty program. In order to use a credit card, you must spend at least $10, but you can do that with a small "gift" or two for yourself even if you buy one inexpensive greeting card. The store is compact with lots of items. It is always neat and clean and nicely organized. It's easy to practice social distancing, and there is hand sanitizer at the front door. Like all small businesses these days, they could use the support, and they very much deserve it!
