This museum is huge! And the best part is, it’s entirely FREE. We unfortunately didn’t have time to see the outdoor area, but the indoor area is very quiet and has lots to see. Many great pieces featuring American, African, Egyptian art, and more. So much stunning art from Auguste Robin and even saw an original art piece from Picasso. There is also a cafe indoors that serves tea, coffee, and pastries.

Absolutely love the NC Museum of Art! The galleries are stunning, the curation is top-notch, and the mix of classic and modern art keeps every visit exciting. The outdoor sculpture park is HUGE and feels like stepping into an open-air art adventure especially with cool installations like the Cloud Chamber for the Trees and Sky, which feels almost magical when the live sky appears inside. The café is pricey but delicious. Can’t believe admission to the main collection is free because the experience feels world-class. If you’re in Raleigh, this place is a must-visit. I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could!

Perfect place to visit with family and friends, full of history and art. It’s a large museum with so many things to see. I visited during the winter, but I definitely recommend coming in the summer as well, since there are plenty of walking areas around the gallery buildings. Admission is free, so it’s a must-visit if you’re in Raleigh.

This is a beautiful art museum! And it’s free. Except for some special exhibits. But the large portion of it is free. And stunning. The building itself is beautiful and they have some wonderful pieces. I was not expecting for this place to be so big. I will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the museum and the artworks it exhibit. It was one of the best art museums in world, I’d reckon. It is well lit with a good combination of natural light and artificial light. There is enough space for visitors to see the artwork properly without disturbing each other or coming in each other‘s way. The artwork itself is good blend modern and traditional art. The exhibits are done with different mediums, which I really loved. There is tonnes of greenery and nature to enjoy art. There cafeteria was also great. There were things for kids to do. I would easily come to this museum with a picnic basket and spend my day here. Can’t believe this museum is free.
