The Regulator Bookshop

I’ve been going to this bookshop for 40 years and I had an experience a few weeks back in there causing me to never give them my business anymore. I’d brought my little dog on her short leash in bc it was too cold to leave her in the car and within ten minutes I was asked to leave bc I was told she was annoying customers. As I left I queried every customer, also apologizing for the few little barks. Every single customer said she was adorable and they had no problem with her. I think the problem was the grouchy staff member who looked as if she was an unhappy person in her life. I know I am just one customer, but I will never go back.

Someone stole my copy of a book gifted by a friend somewhere in transit (I received an empty retaped package.) Called to report it and received a new copy the next week. Excellent customer service!

I pre ordered a book from here and moved before it came out. I forgot to change the shipping address and wasn't able to get the package, but they sent me a replacement to my new address for free. Incredible customer service.
