My favorite spot in downtown Washington, NC! Our family absolutely adores the owner Lindsay and her family!! We feel so blessed to have such a special bookstore in our small town and Lindsay truly goes above and beyond for all her customers. As a former educator, she definitely translates her depth of knowledge to her quality book recommendations in the store. The store is thoughtfully laid out and decorated for a welcoming environment. It’s a must-visit when you’re visiting town! There’s so many extra goodies in there, especially for children but for all ages. Lindsay carries a wonderful collection of quality toys, puzzles, custom stickers and gifts, and more. A great place to find books and toys for babies and new moms, too! The owner Lindsay even hosts events in town like fun book fairs at the local brewery or seasonal story time for the kiddos! She even had a downtown Where’s Waldo? event recently to get other small town business owners involved in the fun. Very creative and great energy! Adorable shop with unique original art sprinkled about lovely books & puzzles. She had a nice variety of local children's books and books relevant to the area - as well as a used book section. I can't wait to come back!

Fantastic family owned bookstore in the middle of scenic downtown Washington. The owner is delightful and can give lots of great recommendations. Wonderful selection, especially for children’s books, local authors, and local history. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Called first. Friendly, knowledgeable lady helped me find exactly what I wanted & held them for me until I could arrive. Warm and welcoming store, with that home town feel. Highly recommended.
