Q.E.D. is the only independent, woman-owned and operated venue for the arts in Astoria, Queens in NYC. It's a labor of love, really. A small community space, youll find stand-up comedy shows with performers ranging from the beginner to the very famous. We also have arts and crafts workshops, writing classes, board game meet ups, storytelling, movie screenings, watch parties and more. Our affordable classes and shows are as diverse as Queens itself. With 100 or more events each month, theres something for everyone. Plus we have an awesome beer, wine and cider, coffee, tea and sodas, and low-proof rum, vodka & tequila. For food we have a small hot foods menu, chips, nuts, candy and fresh popcorn. Q.E.D. is also available to rent for private events, film shoots, podcasting and more.

As a performer, I have to say QED is an incredible place to do a show. The crowd at this place, as is true for most privately owned smaller places, was phenomenal. Really engaged & responsive. The stage is a bit small, but it was enough for our magic show. Dealing with Hannah was a joy, and the bar had beer, wine, and a limited liquor list, as well as food. It's kinda cool to be able to get a few cookies while watching a show. Can't wait until our next show!

This is a hidden gem deep inside Astoria. I am happy i find the local stand up comdy place and dont have to travel to manhattan. I hope drinks and food are good and will try next time. This place needs to get promoted more, as a long term Astorian, i only noticed QED through an acquaintance's post about her poetry event yesterday!

12/16/25 SHOUT TO SAMANTHA FOR ALWAYS GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND, TO FIND THE BEST PLACES FOR OUR EVENTS. Now are you ready for this review? The Yelpies Awards at Q.E.D. in Astoria were an absolute blast! The venue was intimate, clean, and perfectly set up, creating an exciting, feel-good vibe from start to finish. The room was filled with great energy, laughter, and serious local pride. Huge shoutout to Hannah, the owner, who was warm, welcoming, and on top of everything, making sure the night ran smoothly and everyone felt at home. "Did I mention she made us laugh" You could really feel the love for the Yelp community in the room. Such a fun, upbeat celebration in a fantastic Astoria spot. I'd 100% attend again and highly recommend Q.E.D. for events!

We recently hosted my grandmother’s 90th birthday at QED and it was the perfect venue. We had about 40 guests (ranging from toddlers to seniors), and the flexible layout allowed us to create a relaxed 'Open House' vibe that worked for everyone. Hannah was incredibly helpful and easy to work with. I can't recommend QED enough. Thank you Hannah!

QED is the heart of Ditmars. Wether it be a figure drawing class, a local artist fair, a movie screening, game night, improv classes or the core of it all a comedy show, QED has it all. Prices are extremely reasonable and the staff is great. It is a very intimate venue and comedians usually fit some crowd work in because of that. It’s so fun to watch these talented people grow here. I am never disappointed. Look out for fun events on their instagram, there is so much going on here. Could not recommend more, my favorite spot in Astoria!
