Quirky Used Books & More offers a wide selection of nonfiction and fiction is all genres and subject areas. Our retail store is located in a converted eyeglass factory just east of Albuquerques Nob Hill neighborhood; additional inventory is offered online. In addition to books, we carry artwork by local artists and a small selection of LPs, CDs, DVDs, collectibles, and gift items. As part of our commitment to the Albuquerque community, we partner with local organizations to help them raise funds through book donation drives.

I have shopped at Quirky books twice in the last month. The inventory is impressive, organization and cleanliness of the store is impeccable, and the prices are fair and reasonable. Both times I have shopped here the employees have been friendly and helpful. It's always good for the community to have a used bookstore like Quirky. I have seen the news recently about the homeless camp behind the store and how the owners of Quirky show compassion for the homeless. In my mind, homelessness is a complicated societal issue. I also feel empathy for the nearby businesses and residents. I would really like to see Quirky succeed and be a center for community building and connections. It is a really great bookstore and an asset to our neighborhood. Wishing the best for all and a compromise that leaves all concerned feeling validated.

KUDOs. Large building; much room between layout of shelves makes for easy browsing. Many $1.00 and free books. Reasonable prices. Selection of interesting gifts and accessories: 6"x9.5" purses (Poe, Spells), wallets (The Secret Garden, Winnie the Pooh), mugs, stickers et al. Knowledgeable, helpful and VERY pleasant staffer. Parking lot. CHALLENGEs. Parking lot has several tents housing people. The area is calm and relatively neat. It is noted here so that shoppers are not surprised by the presence.

I stop in to Quirky Books once a month or so to see what’s new on the shelves! I love the bookstore and their emphasis on community building! I bought a pair of locally made earrings and a great used YA novel the last time I was there. The place is clean and welcoming. It’s always a pleasure to support a local owned business that values community! Thanks, Quirky!

I visited this bookstore for the first time and was hesitant to get out of my car. The parking lot next to the store has a homeless encampment and i contemplated leaving but i love books so much and wanted to visit this local store. Once inside i realized the book selection is great and nicely organized. During my time in the store I noticed a handful of homeless come in and ask to use the facilities which the worker allowed. I was truly amazed at the kindness that the worker showed and how he treated everyone like humans. I had no idea about the background or history of the store prior and just stumbled upon it. I will continue to shop here and I hope the store is around for much longer. Thank you for showing kindness to everyone that walked through the door.

Took my daughter. Thought we had pulled into a Homeless advocacy group. Nope. The owners allow the homeless to live in the parking lot. It's disgusting with urine and feces and bottle everywhere... When we left kept getting asked for money. 1st and last time visiting it. Sad. I found it gross. The store was ok but yeah- I'll go somewhere else.
