The owner is super creepy! I wish I’d read reviews before I brought my daughter in this store. It’s such a shame that a bookstore featuring local authors would be so horrible. Old Town Albuquerque needs to have a meeting regarding this store. We always want to support local authors every city we visit. Such a shame that local authors have this store to help support their businesses. We would’ve loved to purchase several books but after the store owners comments and rudeness we left without spending a cent. Saw many other patrons do the same thing. Incredible uneasy and not a safe place at all! PARENTS BEWARE!

If it were possible I would leave -0. We visited this store today and planned to purchase books until the owner yelled at our 5 year old. A child attempting to show a joke to us from a book! She was traumatized! We left the books we intended to purchase and left. The owner is obviously deranged and Old Town Albuquerque should obviously look into this proprietor. When there are this many bad reviews and only a 3 star rating, that is proof enough. People should not feel fearful in a book store, especially children. It’s an unsafe environment. BUYERS BEWARE!!

I cannot stress enough how poorly we were treated by this business owner. He was incredibly rude and proceeded to mumble about us loud enough for us to hear. I have never felt so uncomfortable to be in a store. We were ready to purchase several books and were enjoying reading through them when he proceeded to say disrespectful things with earshot. Please don’t shop here! Spend your hard earned money on locals that deserve it.

This bookstore features lots of books on the history and land of Albuquerque including books on Native Americans and southwest cooking. It's a small space but packed with treasures.

We went to visit this bookstore, as my daughter loves books. We got there, the person at the counter told us the book shop is no longer there.
