he Rapbrary is a special library and bookstore, founded by Rapper/Librarian Roy Kinsey, that specializes in understanding and preserving Hip Hop as a literary art form rooted in storytelling and literature, promoting literacy and intellectualism through rap, and a book sanctuary that aims to keep the stories of our marginalized authors safe and accessible, especially in 2024, where 48 out of 50 states have had banned and challenged titles. Roy Kinsey's work is rooted in bridging the gap between librarianship and representation while engaging the community by inviting them into nontraditional library spaces for impactful programming and a personally curated collection of literature that equips marginalized voices with the appropriate literature.
