Truly a wonderful experience with each visit. We appreciate the options of new and used books, all the comfortable spots to get cozy and the low-lit rooms. I have picked up books for us, books to gift, gift cards, an autographed book and a book I requested and they ordered and held for me. (No charge until pick up!!) They are currently open every day and a few days after 5p and they are ALWAYS welcoming. It may a little out of your way but if you enjoy a good bookventure, you will be immensely pleased. Look for the furry friend if he doesn't find you first! 10/10, no notes ((also a coffee shop lives above them if you need an extra "perk"))

Sabu's Books is a charming and thoughtful bookstore off the beaten path in the Mid-Missouri college town of Columbia, Missouri. This Women & Asian-owned bookstore provides a diverse set of reads and gifts separated into quaint spaces with cozy seating, giving readers a calm and enjoyable shopping experience. Booksellers are available to answer questions, help find wanted books and ready to make suggestions to readers of all interests and of all ages. Anyone who is lucky enough to pop into this bookstore leaves eager to return. This is most certainly a bookstore worthy of supporting!!

From before I even opened the door, I knew I was going to love this store. I was greeted by a warm smile from Sabreena and a gorgeous Kitty named Rama. From the smell of coffee to the four separate areas filled with books and on to the entire esthetic of the building, this store deserves your business. We were offered a nice small tour to see how the store was arranged which included some wonderful discussion about different authors and how they wrote and lived, authors such as Orwell & Lovecraft were just couple of discussed names. All of the books I viewed, including the ones I purchased, are in wonderful condition. As my arms were filling up, I was offered the option to leave them at the front so I could continue shopping around with my arms open. Honestly, if I wasn't moving in less than a week, I would love to come sit and read for hours. Rest assured, this place could become a real hotspot if people start to give it a chance.
