Awesome independent Bookstore. I had to set myself a budget. It was hard to not go over budget. So many beautiful books.

Easy to get to, eat street parking. Large, organized selection of used books. Reasonably priced. Staff was great and most helpful. I travel over an hour to get here.

Absolutely adore this little bookshop. Love seeing my late cousin, Javan Bonds, be able to have his books displayed and sold here locally. This place offers so many book options for adults and children and it even offers book lights, bookmarks, etc. If you’re a book junkie and prefer to shop small or local rather than at a larger bookstore chain, it’s perfect!

Love browsing Shades of Pemberly, Brandi is always willing to help me find or order the books I want. Great selection of new and used books. Highly recommend if you are looking for a friendly hometown book store!

Just encountered another review similar to my own experience, which only adds to my disappointment. I came here with the intention of purchasing books for my 18-month-old child, who is naturally curious. I never left him unsupervised and was by his side the entire time. We spent around 5 minutes in the child’s room before we were startled by a woman yelling at my child for dropping a book on the ground. This unexpected outburst startled both my child and me. Despite my efforts to supervise him, he was scolded repeatedly as he innocently explored the books. I was shocked and deeply disappointed, as I believed this establishment was child-friendly. What I had hoped would be a new place for us to enjoy turned into a negative experience. We left without making a purchase and will not be returning due to the treatment we received. Normally, I wouldn't leave a review, but I felt compelled to share our experience.
