There’s something really special about shopping in person and supporting small businesses. I came in today looking for five different books that have been all over TikTok. I’ve now visited three local stores, and not a single one had any of them in stock. When I asked, I was kindly offered the option to order them, but your in-store price is $18.95, while they’re only $5–$10 on Amazon. If I'm going to have to order them I'm going to just save the money and get them from Amazon. I completely understand that independent shops can’t compete with online prices , and I don’t expect them to. I was just really hoping to experience that instant gratification of walking in, finding what I wanted, and walking out with it. That was $100 I was ready to spend today. Maybe stocking a few trending titles could help bridge that gap and keep book lovers like me coming back. I really appreciated the friendly staff and the cozy atmosphere. I just wish today had been a win.

Small bookstore, good selection though didn't have authors i was looking for. Staff were VERY helpful though and suggested authors with similar styles. Lots of great gifts both literary and not. Definitely worth a stop in!

My favorite bookstore - so glad there's one in Windham! Online shopping is amazing, too. I love the option to pick up at the store for editions they may not carry all the time. They've even called me before to offer another edition of a book at a discounted rate prior to shipping my order. There's also a nice selection of gifts, though it does take away space that could be used to widen their in-store book selections. They only have two drawbacks. The first is the proximity of the children's section to the last few fiction shelves - it can be hard to shop on the 2-3 shelves in the back corner with the tight space and kids running underfoot, but that's not really the store's fault. The second is the amount of romantasy (SJM, fourth wing, etc) being placed in the fantasy section rather than romance. If the plot is romance, it should be in romance. Sorting issues always makes it harder to shop, and those genres are certainly not the same.

A nice large bookstore with a good variety of books and other things (like socks, candles, and souvenirs)! It was cool to see the local sections as well with books by Maine authors and about Maine. I was looking to get specific books and I found them but they were a bit more expensive than I was hoping for, although I guess it's a pretty standard price for local bookstores these days. Still an overall fun experience

So glad to have a bookstore in Windham again! Not only do they have a nice variety of genres but they also carry greeting cards, journals, gifts, games, puzzles and more. When the next closest bookstores are Falmouth and Raymond I love that I can just run 5 minutes up the road to find my next book or gift!
