We are a funky and fun, brick and mortar, independently owned book store in Appleton, Wisconsin that sells used and new books. We are independently owned and operated since 1977. We have a knowledgeable and friendly staff and we are always happy to help you find your next favorite book or author.

A really nice new and used shop! Well organized, friendly staff, well lit and clean. It seemed like there was a little higher than usual amount of ex library copies, but i pulled a few gems out in the 15 minutes i spent there. Would probably be a regular stop if i lived near by.

Great atmosphere with friendly staff. They offer a variety of genres in easy to find sections. They have some new, but mostly used, books including several that are out of print.

Spent several hours here over the weekend and could have spent more! They have to have one of the largest collections of romance novels in the state separated into three sections of steaminess! But they have a very nice history section and fiction as well as other categories. Really nicely organized, scattered seating for us older folks, helpful staff. I love Appleton for their independent bookstores and The Bookstore is a great one!

So many books you could spend hours searching! The little personality traits of this store make it quirky but quaint. The outline on the floor made my kids laugh.

Super friendly and welcoming staff along with a great selection of used and new books! Love their used book credit program! Bring in your no longer wanted books and you will earn an account credit. Any used book can be bought with half of your account credit.
