This is a fantastic little bookstore in Hudson. I absolutely love a good ol' bookstore with a cozy feel, and this one has that lovely element retained. My daughter loves her crochet book she bought.

I have been shopping at the learned owl for over 30 years . This is the first year that they did not offer gift wrapping when they were aware the person I was purchasing one of the books for was in the children’s room with my grandson. They also were not able to recommend a book personally which was always a plus in the past. Might as well shop on Amazon, they have seemed to lose that personal touch.

Nice little bookstore with a great variety of titles packed into a small space. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area. Staff is kind and knowledgeable. I’ll 100% be back to see what else I can find.

I've been a fan for a long time, but today was truly special. The woman working the front desk enthusiastically helped me pick out a few cozy mysteries for a friend going through a tough time. Then, thanks to a tough pregnancy, I got extremely lightheaded at the front desk. She and her colleague got me into a chair, brought me water and a juice box, and rang up my books for me. They told me to stay as long as I needed and chatted books with me for a while. True angels. (And one of them was dressed as a pirate, which was just the cherry on top.) What a great shop.
