Old-fashioned, mom-&-pop bookshop since 1963 offering 3 floors filled with new & gently used titles.

This is the best kind of book store. It's cramped, the rooms are uneven, the floors creak. And it oozes charm. Fireside offers three floors, spanning non-fiction, fantasy, used literature, children's books, classics, summer reading, puzzles and games, travel, religion, you name it. The shelves are dense with books. Around every corner is something new to discover. And it's cozy and inviting; the top floor has a reading room with a little table to sit at, tucked away from the walking paths. It feels good to support a local bookstore, especially one that's put together with passion, as this one is.

The most charming local bookstore nestled in Chagrin Falls. From stationary, cards and puzzles to used books to an entire children’s section upstairs, Fireside has more than you expect. Stickers and totes and a robust section of local reads make this a 10/10 for me but the warm hospitality push it over the edge to an 11/10. Can’t wait to return on my next trip to northeast Ohio so I can fill my punchcard.

Cute little small town book store. Great variety of books available. Clearance section in the back has heavily discounted books as well. Cute selection of puzzles and toys also available for the younger readers. Love that this book store has multiple floors. This place is definitely a hidden gem in the city!

A lovely, local bookstore with a lot of heart and way more rooms than you would expect. When you walk in, you are greeted by books and you can see them all the way to the back of the shop. That’s when you notice that there is a staircase as well as a side passage, intriguing. On this first level there are plenty of gifts, cards, and puzzles. I ventured down the side passage and found their best seller section. Books were laid out well and the displays showed off the stellar selection. Upstairs, you will find the mystery, business, travel and cooking sections, along with the fireplace that gives the shop its name. The next staircase leads you to the kids corner and each stair is painted with the spine of your favorite children’s books. You’ll have a wonderful experience here and the staff are kind, happy to help and happier to have you in the shop.
