The Magnolia Bookshop

I asked my disabled son if he wanted to go to pick out a pumpkin after breakfast or to the bookstore and he said bookstore, repeatedly. So, off we went to Magnolia and Main. I thought I might just find something for him to look through there. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and with a smile by the owner and my son immediately set about exploring every nook and cranny of the store. Traci, the owner, was very understanding and even let him keep a Cookie Monster porcelain figurine someone had beautifully painted and donated that she had displayed. (He had picked it up and couldn't make his mind up between it and Big Bird! 😂) She showed me the books that he might be interested in and I decided to purchase one of them. He enjoys it very much! We also met Wilbur, the adopted bookstore ginger tabby kitten. What a bundle of cuteness! He definitely steals the show! This is the best little bookstore around and I highly recommend checking it out, especially with your little ones. I'm sure Traci can help you find something to enjoy!

Lovely little book store. Treated myself to three new books. All used books were half off, so that was definitely a bonus.

Lovely bookstore well located with plenty of parking. It is an inviting, comforting space. She has a great selection of books, I am wishing now that in addition to the books I did buy I had picked up a couple of the sets she has put together. The owner is knowledgeable and helpful. Oh, and bonus, she now has a kitten living there!

Absolutely delightful little bookstore right on the corner. Easy parking, which is always a plus. I had a perfectly wonderful conversation with the owner while browsing. I love visiting used bookstores like this while traveling, and Magnolia & Main did not disappoint. The selection and variety was surprisingly excellent, and there was a nice variety of other bookish things as well, many of them from local artisans. Highly recommended.
