The Old Tome Bookstore was established in 2021. Selling New, Used, Old, Rare & Collectable books. Our inventory is constantly changing as we have a reserve of over 80,000 books. Every box opened to put on the shelves is a new treasure hunt! To date the oldest book found is 1804. The bookstore also sells local honey, jewelry, as well as other gift items hand made by local artists.

An incredibly warm environment being a huge asset in our community. It has an inviting atmosphere with tea's and coffees offered. You may only have 5 minutes to look over the vast selection of books, magazines, periodicals, plus the Dewey decimal system and end up spending hours there! Really a gem in disguise. Afton is becoming more enriched every day with shops like this!

Unique startup shop. Very well organized, staff is friendly & knowledgeable. Great vintage book destination trek, with added inventory regularly. 10 thumbs up!

Wonderful little bookstore w a mix of old and new .. Sit and read while having a cup of tea . Visit w the shopkeeper. Select little crafted gifts. Just a dream of a shop.. How lucky is Afton to have this added to the charm of the town.

Definitely a welcoming and comfortable store. I love all of the hidden gems i find here. Also love the Stephen King variety :)
