If I could give this charming little bookstore more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! This place will forever hold a special place in my heart. The incredible owner, who is the sweetest person imaginable, went above and beyond by allowing my fiancé to propose to me here on a day they were closed. As if that wasn’t enough, she also graciously let us take our engagement photos in the bookstore—with our very energetic 3-year-old in tow! The bookstore itself is absolutely lovely, filled with warmth, charm, and a thoughtfully curated selection of books. And don’t even get me started on the stunning art gallery upstairs! Every corner of this place feels magical and inviting. If you’re looking for a cozy, welcoming space with an incredible owner who genuinely cares about her customers and community, look no further. I can’t recommend this gem of a bookstore enough. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind place that now holds some of the most precious memories of my life!

This is a great little store! I was surprised to see so many used books that are in good condition at a very reasonable price. I found many books that I have been wanting to pick up for a while, as well as some lesser known ones. Definitely worth making a trip, especially considering how close it is to Clemson!

Great little book store with a nice selection of new and used books. They share space with a library, too. Note: this is not the visitors center, despite what the signs on the highway say!

This is such a sweet bookshop. I found it by chance through a Google search while out thrifting and figured I’d stop in. What a gem! The owner Amy is so personable and has curated such a great selection of books that you’re bound to find something no matter what genre you read. There’s a mix of new and used books at great price points. If you’re a parent, absolutely bring your kids with you - she has a small selection of kids books, along with a craft table for them to create at while you browse books. I’m so glad I stumbled across the Pendleton Bookshop, and I’m sure to be back again looking for more books!
