Three Bells Books

I cannot say enough great things about this store! It is in the heart of the downtown of Mason City. Great location with plenty of parking. You can enter it either from the alley/ road to the east or walk on the plaza through Simply Nourished. It doesn't matter what your interest is or what your age is- you will find a book for you! Such a variety! And if they don't have it- they will get it for you! Plenty of gifts for the people in your life who love to read as well. I also love how they have events there and they host authors as well. They really highlight local authors as well. What a gift for the town of Mason City! It's also adorable! I completely love the vibe! Highly recommend!!

Wonderful book store in downtown Mason City. It's been many years since there was a book store here! Nice to see the investment and growth in the downtown. We came two nights in a row, once with the kids, the next time just adults. Good selection of books - we looked at children's books, the cookbooks, and the sci-fi section as well. Plus is there is a small bar with a select few Fat Hill beers and a couple house wines as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful both nights.

A lovely bookstore! I just moved here with my fiance and we are so glad Mason City has its own indie bookstore. We can't wait to get more involved (book clubs, attending readings, ect.) and have already bought a few books. Bonus--they have beer and other beverages! Might need to make it a hangout and read in the cozy velvet couches by the fireplace area. The only complaint I have is true of nearly every bookstore I've ever visited-- there's a smallish nonfiction section and no dedicated creative nonfiction area. It does have a great local and Midwest section, though. It's cute and inviting and we will certainly be back!

A fantastic addition to the community! Words cannot express what a delight it has been to share three bells with friends and family when they come to town. The prices are fair and the selection is great! I have especially been wildly impressed by the prices and selection in their children’s section. A must hit is their used books in the hall. You never know what treasure you may find!
