Al's Old & New Book Store has been open in Wichita since 1957. We have about 40,000 used books; new books by special request. As a general book store, we stock local, aviation and world history with many other nonfiction subjects. Also classics, and most fiction genres.

Oh My Goodness! If you love books, you need to visit this store. The prices are amazing and every time I turned around there was even more that I absolutely had to have. Whether you want one book or one hundred, you cannot afford to pass this store by!

Quaint little used book store. A decent selection of books you may not find elsewhere. Anita will help you find anything you're looking for and will even help you find something they don't currently have. My favorite bookstore in town.

If you enjoy quaint bookstores, this is your place. Very well organized; friendly staff. I walked out with many books as their prices are pleasing, and their selection exceeded my expectations as the hard-to-find books I was/am looking for aren't available in brick and mortar establishments anywhere near me; and are much more pricey on Amazon. I even got a pair of very old, rare books that I just could NOT pass up. What a place! Wish it was next door to me! It's worth the trip, and the Delano District (where Al's is located) also offers other business establishments from foods/drinks to fashion. You could literally park your car, and you can walk to whatever your heart wants ❤️ Like I said ... quaint. Would make a nice day date for a couple.
