Maggie is this bookstore’s cat and extremely friendly. She was lying down at the register next to her owner and looked at me when I came in. But once I started talking to her, she got up and rubbed all over my hand, then proceeded to follow me around the store for extra pets. She has a nice balance of making sure you feel welcomed, but also allowing you to browse. She is such a sweet cat, well worth the visit to this bookstore just to see this cat.

Twice Told Tales is an amazing store in the heart of downtown McPherson! They offer used books, new books, gifts, and more! You will also be greeted by the sweetest kiddo and kitty cat named Maggie along with the incredibly kind owner! 💙

I had the chance to visit during their Grand Opening, as the store is under new ownership. As an avid reader, I will definitely be back. The atmosphere is welcoming. Great selection of books and affordable. If you are in the McPherson area be sure to stop in and support a locally owned business.
