I'm glad to have Ante Books in my town. This is a true safe haven where you can find unique books on a wide range of topics, from fiction to non-fiction. I love the vibe; the staff is really friendly, and although I haven’t been able to attend their events and workshops, I look forward to visiting the place and discovering new reads. I have a very particular taste for my books, and Ante has somewhat curated their selection around it. They also support local talent, other businesses, and local projects. This is the place where the little details speak volumes, such as the stamp they use on their paper bags or the cute, nostalgic decorations around the place. And besides books and other finds, they also have lots of cool stickers.

Ante is one of my favorite places in the RGV, and I’m so happy we have this bookstore/safe space. The staff is amazing and truly some of the best people I’ve ever met! It’s LGBTQ+ friendly and just one of the coziest spots ever.

Super cool bookstore, if a bit hidden. Local authors section (and occasional author events) as well as a surprising variety of new and used books. Area for art maker space/creation station for such events too! Comfy and unique furniture is a nice bonus.Very friendly and knowledgeable owners. Parking around side of building in the alley.

Such an adorable, local bookstore! Staff was inviting and made the place feel home-y. I loved the selection of books available.

Im impressed on all of the cool selection. A lot of the books were in my wish list. Everything makes sense in this bookstore. It is really a cool one! Will definitely come again everytime I visit McAllen
