Cozy and inviting! Love quaint towns with book stores..even a special children's section! Staff is helpful and courteous. Curl up with a good read from Battenkill Books....historical spots are also a part of their collection!

Just a lovely bookstore! Wonderful mix of books and gifts (calendars, puzzles, notebooks and SO much more). The owner is friendly and knowledgeable - offers great recommendations! I look forward to returning.

Was in the area for work and stopped in to buy something to read in my downtime. The owner was lovely and helped me find the book I was looking for right away. Even though I stopped by out of convince it made me consider where I buy things from and where I should spend my money in the future. I have started to go to local bookstores around me and avoid amazon now and will definitely stop by this shop again if i am in the area.

What a find! This is a remarkable book store. It had something for everyone in our group... recent books, classics, children's books and great gifts. I would highly recommend Battenkill Books. It is not to be missed!!

Battenkill Books punches above its weight. The selection is well-curated, the staff is helpful and very well-informed, and their service is exceptional. I frequently have them ship gifts I have bought there to their recipients. They also have many programs -- poetry night, author readings, children's hour. They are an important anchor to our community.
