Birch Tree Books

Really cool bookstore in downtown Leesburg. Nice place to browse and a great variety. The inside is a bit tight, but if you go early it wasn't too busy. Perfect Sunday morning place to explore

What a dreamy place. Books AND plants?! Sign me up! There was a solid selection of books here—everything I looked for and more. There’s also an excellent children’s section. The plants were all happy and very healthy and the bookish gifts and plant notions were wonderful. I even met a local author while shopping! Can’t wait to return.

This is my favorite indie bookstore in my area! They have a wonderful selection, great book-related merch like stickers and pins, and a staff that is incredibly knowledgeable about their books. They also host many events, including author events and book clubs based on genre (historical fiction, queer fiction, sci-fi/fantasy, feminist, mythology, and more!) which is awesome. I haven't had the time to attend one because of work and school but I hope to be able to this summer! Their sister store is a plant shop that's directly connected to the bookstore, and the two work in tandem beautifully. It's a cozy space in the heart of downtown Leesburg that you should absolutely stop by when you're in the area. On my last trip, I got "The Teller of Small Fortunes" and "The Gate to Kagoshima," and I'm looking forward to sipping tea and diving into them.

Whimsical ! Beautiful house, plants and books. I was especially impressed by Emily. She was passionate about plants and provided me with education and insight into some of the plants how to care for them and different ones to choose from. Overall, everyone else is nice as well. We purchased a few items, including a beautiful cardboard palm tree plant .
