Very friendly and helpful staff. We went to pick up chick starting essentials. Graceanne offered assistance and great advice! She was very approachable and very kind in answering many questions. We also had a chance to speak with the Gardening Experts that come every Saturday through the summer. They were so sweet and offered great resources/materials on gardening! (And a sticker!!) We had lovely experience at Southern States

The folks there are always super friendly and helpful in finding what I need. They have a great selection of plants and gardening supplies. My dogs like going there because they always enjoy getting a cookie! 😁

I've been coming here for years to get my chicken feed since they're the closest place that carries the brand I like. I love that they carry locally produced chicken feed (Homestead Harvest), but I also love their garden center. They have a great selection of healthy plants that are reasonably priced, and their customer service is always very good. Today there was an innocent error made on the pricing of one of my plants, and they fixed it quickly and with a smile. Terry there is just a delight! I'll keep making the drive (almost an hour from me) to get my feed and grab some plants. Totally worth it.

A good selection of things for plants and animals. Associates were friendly and knew locations of items. When they didn't carry an item, they knew where I could find it in the town.

The store website listed pigeon feed as being available. Drove over from 40 minutes away and asked the store staff after not being able to find it. One staff member scoffed at my wife when she asked about pigeon seed and defiantly said they didn't have it, then immediately moved onto the next customer. Considering all the different types of feed they carried for all sorts of animals it would have been nice for the staff member to not act floored by the question about a product on their site, or at the very least been courteous about not having it versus making us feel stupid for asking.
